Although the assembly plant in Jin City has undergone a series of upgrades, it can only produce up to 8 Long 12 launch vehicles at the same time.

The Chang 12 launched at the Wenchang launch site this time is the latest improved version of the Chang 12E launch vehicle. The payload has been slightly improved, reaching 56.8 tons.

The purpose of this project is to save rocket fuel consumed by the launch vehicle during the atmospheric stage.

Huang Xiuyuan thought for a while and replied: "If the Feipeng-class carrying capacity is used, it can only carry a launch vehicle of less than 1,200 tons at most and reach an altitude of 30 kilometers. This is basically the limit state."

"It is quite suitable for transporting the Chang 11. This solution can add about 160 tons of payload to the Chang 11."

There are also related projects abroad for this kind of launch vehicle that is launched on the back of an aircraft. However, they do not have large-load transport aircraft and can only be used in small launch vehicles.

The Feipeng class, which has a super-large payload in China, can be completely modified to send the launch vehicle to an altitude of 30 kilometers.

To a certain extent, the most fuel-consuming stages of a launch vehicle are the troposphere and stratosphere in the atmosphere. These two regions consume a large portion of fuel.

The Somersault Cloud project is to save fuel in these two areas.

In fact, in this mode, the Feipeng stage can also be used as the core first stage of the launch vehicle, but this core stage can be quickly reused many times.
