American fame and fortune

Chapter 96: Here Comes Old Bu

The door of the audition room opened and closed, and Adrian stood in front of the camera lens. His dark brown and almost black mid-length hair was specially groomed, and it looked a bit yuppie in the mess.

Mary-Gale hated the hairstyle as much as she hated the Beatles when she was young.

But she remained calm and said, "Let's begin."

Adrian and his assistant started playing.

Susan Levine remembered this actor, and Downey mentioned a few words to her specifically.

The acting skills are not bad, above the standard line, but the good and the bad are compared. Compared with Martin Davis, who performed the best before, it is obviously a grade worse.

Auditions are over quickly.

After the actor left, Susan routinely asked again: "How is he?"

Mary doesn't like it in her heart, but she won't say directly: "It's average, at the level of normal people."

These words deepened Susan's similar opinion, she nodded slightly: "Inform him tomorrow and play Dalton."

Robert Downey Jr. had just made a successful marriage proposal, and Susan was more considerate of him, and the fringe supporting roles had little influence on the project.

Mary made a note of it.

The audition continued, and Jason Sean didn't show up when everyone auditioned.

Susan was the third in name, but actually the producer in charge of the crew, and directly ordered Mary: "Disqualify him from the audition."

That concludes the audition for the role of Nick Jones, and Susan will not be auditioning for someone alone.

The audition room door is closed, and the casting team is holding a meeting here.

After playing all the audition videos, Susan had a mild attitude and asked, "Martin Davis, do you have any objections?"

People in the casting team are not stupid, even if they have objections, they won't say anything.

Susan looked at the time and said to Mary, "The official announcement will be made tomorrow."

The meeting was brief. After the meeting, Mary and Susan walked together and asked, "The audition in the afternoon?"

Susan waved her hand: "I won't participate, other roles are up to you."

Mary is an old man who has been in the industry for decades. Ability is not a problem. Even if she is thoughtful, the selected people will meet the basic requirements.

The two separated, and Mary returned to the office, found out the contact information, and made a call: "The old place at night, I asked the person you were looking for to find it? Very good."

Thinking of the black guy with dyed blonde hair, Mary was in a good mood. In recent years, no one has worked so hard to sweeten her like him.

…………

In the parking lot of Warner Studios, Martin watched as the lights flashed and the ambulance arrived.

The familiar fat man was carried into the ambulance by the emergency personnel.

Thomas knew: "Like a customer of the company."

Martin met more than once on the set of "Entourage": "Adrian's follower, is it called Bonnie or Tony?"

He felt that things were unusual: "Go and find out what's going on."

Thomas said, "I'm your agent."

Martin's words came casually: "It may be related to the audition."

"Don't make an example!" Thomas emphasized, and went to find someone to inquire about the situation, and then made a few more calls.

He came back soon and said to Martin: "It's really related to the audition. Tony and Paris Hilton's boyfriend Jason Sean got into a car collision, and the two got into a fight because of a quarrel... No, to be precise, Sean Tony was beaten and then taken away by the police, Tony seemed to be seriously injured."

Martin, whoever heard it, decided it wasn't an accident, and shook his head: "It's so fucking hot!"

Thomas didn't hear clearly: "What?"

"The competition is fierce," Martin said.

"Just get used to it." Thomas understood what he meant: "The circle of male actors is a bit poor, but the actresses are wonderful."

When Martin mentioned Jason Sean at the time, his intention was to let Adrian and the others focus on Jason Sean. He did not expect Adrian to attach so much importance to Jason Sean.

Thinking of Adrian who was smiling in front of him, Martin's back shivered: "I have a sense of crisis."

That guy was a scum, and he asked Thomas, "Adrian is valued in the company?"

Thomas said: "Generally speaking, he belongs to the group that has just emerged."

Martin considered whether to shake people, took out his phone, and found that it hadn't been turned on after it was turned off, so he quickly turned on the phone, and soon received three text messages for missed calls.

Just about to dial back, the bell rang.

When Martin connected, Bruce's voice was still so ugly: "You stinky shit, when you're not looking for you, you make people feel uneasy, and when you're looking for you, you can't make a call."

"Because I can smell your stink in Los Angeles!" Martin countered sharply: "The smell of shit on your brother's body has drifted from Atlanta to Los Angeles!"

Bruce said, "I'm in Los Angeles!"

Martin was surprised: "What? Old Bu, are you in Los Angeles?"

Bruce said: "North Hollywood Valley Avenue, the parking lot in front of the Bank of America, within half an hour of you, I will rob the Bank of America, and then tell those sons of bitches that you are behind the scenes."

Martin hung up the phone and called Thomas: "Drive, go to North Hollywood Bank of America, hurry up!"

"I'm not your driver!" Thomas muttered silently, got into the driver's seat, and pulled Martin straight to North Hollywood.

Coming to the parking lot in front of the Bank of America, Martin saw Bruce at a glance.

Bruce got out of a Ford pickup: "It looks like you're doing well."

"Unlike you, you need to sell your ass." Before Bruce became civilized, Martin changed the subject: "Did you drive here from Zuozhou?"

Bruce shrugged: "After 911, air traffic control is too strict, and it is easy to leave traces." He pointed at Thomas with his chin: "Who is this? Your new kid?"

Thomas thought to himself, where did the country bumpkin come from, with a foul mouth and a foul smell.

"My agent, Thomas." Martin briefly introduced: "Thomas, this is Old Bu, my brother, a professional scavenger."

He specially added: "One day you kill someone and it's not easy to deal with it. Just call Lao Bu, as long as you pay enough money, he will help you deal with it properly."

Thomas nodded to Bruce and said to Martin, "I won't bother you."

Martin reminded: "There is news from the crew, please notify me immediately."

Thomas got in the car and hurried away.

Martin got on the co-pilot of the Ford pickup and pointed to the apartment in the north: "Go there." At the same time, he reminded: "Put your guys away. This is California with strict gun control, not Georgia."

Bruce said: "I was stationed in California when I was a soldier. I have a gun license and a concealed gun license here. Who am I to give the son of a bitch a chance to empty the magazine."

The car drove into the parking lot, and Martin helped carry the luggage, and took Lao Bu into the apartment building.

Bruce went up to the second floor and curled his lips: "I thought you lived in a big villa in Malibu or Beverly, and I came here to join you."

Martin opened the door and said, "You can live here temporarily, and choose one of the two bedrooms." Considering that Louise might come to sing when she returns to Los Angeles, after all, she finds it very exciting: "When the apartment building is vacant, I will give you a room." Rent one."

Bruce threw down the suitcase and sat on the sofa: "Aren't you going to be with me forever?"

Martin opened the refrigerator, took a can of beer and threw it to him: "I can smell the stench on your body thousands of kilometers away. Old Bu, there is another key question. When you go through the back door, let me listen?"

Bruce opened the beer and took a big gulp: "Okay, I don't care."

Martin also took a can of beer and asked, "Why did you come to Los Angeles suddenly?"

Bruce said simply: "I'm on the blacklist of a trafficker group in eastern Mexico. I'm not afraid of being fired at. But what if I get blacked out? Vincent is good to me, and I can't get him involved."

"Sorry." Martin understood what was going on as soon as he heard it: "My messy things have hurt you."

Bruce was not polite to Martin at all: "So, I can only come to you."

Martin said: "You will be my full-time manager from now on."

"It sounds like a high-end atmosphere." Bruce asked, "What do you mainly do?"

Martin thought for a while: "Drive, carry bags, play with me, and keep behind me."

Bruce was surprised: "Did you use the Vaseline I gave you?"

Martin went to check Bruce's bag, intending to take out the gun: "Old Bu, do you want to see God early?"

Bruce snorted coldly: "God is a black man, and he won't meet racists."

"You came just in time, I met a bad guy..." Martin carefully explained what happened before.

"Don't worry, I won't let him mess with you." Bruce sighed: "I left one muddy quagmire, turned around and jumped into another muddy quagmire."

Martin looked at the time: "It's noon, let's go out for lunch, and I'll take you around Los Angeles in the afternoon."

"To the Sacred Valley?" Bruce was actually curious: "I've always wanted to see with my own eyes how those films were made."

Martin asked: "On-site observation?"

Bruce shrugged.

When the two went out, they happened to meet Antonio.

The big fat man rolled down the stairs slowly like a ball, saw Bruce, and asked Martin, "Is he the producer?"

Bruce said first: "Yes, I am a producer in Hollywood."

Antonio patted Martin's arm: "Go to the hyena early, don't wait until you can't bear it."

Martin glared at Old Bu, then looked at the landlord: "He likes fat people, so I brought him here."

Antonio was shocked, turned around and wanted to go upstairs: "Don't mess around, I have a gun!"

Martin said: "Man, who hasn't got a gun yet?" He worried that the landlord's heart could not bear the physical pressure: "Just kidding, he is my friend, Anthony, there is a house on your side that is vacant, help him save it."

Antonio turned around, his trembling chest was much larger than that of Jessica: "No problem, I will notify you first if there is a house available."

Martin and Bruce went downstairs to find a place to have lunch before heading out to the San Fernando Valley.

Halfway through, Martin called Jenna Jameson. Her company has been officially established after the New Year and is shooting the first film. The two are welcome to visit.

In the studio in the Sacred Valley, Martin and Bruce put on their crew IDs and came to the shooting location.

Jenna Jameson acted as the director herself, and when the actress was out of breath because of too much time, the director performed in person.
