American fame and fortune

Chapter 64 Inevitably going to the ring stage

The Ford drove around the Clayton community, and the black dealers who could be seen everywhere disappeared without a trace, as if they had been cleaned up.

Martin drove into the community and stopped in front of Carter's house. Lily, Hall and Harris, who were crowded in the back seat, couldn't wait to get out of the car and ran towards the door.

Diagonally opposite, Mr. Wood swayed over.

Elena and Martin opened the trunk and called the three of them to come over and carry the luggage.

Mr. Wood came here and asked, "Have you enjoyed your trip?"

"Very happy." Lily smiled and handed Mr. Wood a mace keychain: "Mr. Wood, I brought you a present."

Mr. Wood was surprised: "This seems to be on the other side of the Great Smoky Mountains."

Martin answered, "I didn't know until I was out of Atlanta. Our Atlanta-made tourist souvenirs are sold everywhere."

Mr. Wood smiled cheerfully.

"The nigger disappeared?" Martin asked.

"It seems that the DEA mopped up a group, and the rest ran away." Mr. Wood was quite relieved: "Our Neighborhood Defense League was a great success, and Clayton restored the previous order."

Elena is not demanding: "I can finally return to the original."

Martin called Harris and Hall to carry the luggage back to the house.

Elena and Lily had a conversation with Mr. Wood and returned with the rest of their luggage.

Martin proposed again: "We can change to a better neighborhood."

"We grew up here, now without those black Xs, everything is back to normal." Elena didn't want to leave: "This is full of familiar neighbors, although they are sometimes bad, but they are good people in the community, and Money needs to be spent where it matters most, and Harris is going to college soon."

She refrains from swearing as much as possible: "Without enough money and decent jobs, we move to other communities and we will only be discriminated against."

"I found a part-time job tutoring elementary school kids at a planetarium," Harris said.

Lily is rarely serious: "I deliver the newspaper every morning."

"Churchyards are hiring, and I'm good at it," Hall said.

Elena went over and punched him on the head: "You are in charge of looking after the house!"

Martin pondered for a while, then said to Harris: "You learn more about the starry sky in the planetarium, and ask carefully if it is difficult to establish a for-profit astronomical association."

Harris nodded: "I will ask clearly."

Elena said at this time: "Your accent sounds really awkward."

Martin said: "Hollywood accent, I started late, so I can only stick to my daily practice."

Lily interrupted suddenly: "He wants to be a big star!"

Both fists landed in front of Lily's face at the same time, and Lily lowered her head aggrieved.

Martin has been mainly intimidating, withdrew his fist, took out the keys of the Ford car, and handed it to Elena: "This car is for you, it is convenient for commuting to and from get off work."

Then she turned her head, just in time to see Lily's grievance spread out on her face, her mouth slightly opened, and she wanted to speak.

He slapped Lily on the face: "Shut up!"

Elena asked, "What about you?"

Martin took out another car key: "I recently helped someone get an investment, this is a bonus." He took the initiative to change the subject: "Who wants to go out, I'm going to buy a searchlight."

Elena said, "I'll go with you."

Martin discovered that Old Hei was the real threat, especially Old Hei who was dressed in black at night.

He wants to install searchlights outside the house to break Lao Hei's invisibility.

Just after noon, Elena drove the Ford to the bar.

Martin first went to the Freedom Club to collect his salary for the past two weeks, and then came to Gray Film and Television Company, found Kelly's assistant Ella, and gave her a small gift to help write a social survey report.

The salary of the Free Association is not so easy to get, and the social investigators have to submit a formal report every three weeks.

When Director Benjamin heard that Martin was coming, he called and invited Martin to his office.

"The boss notified me in the morning and decided to give the green light to the project and appoint you as the leading actor." Benjamin can easily analyze from the information that Martin convinced the boss.

He was quite emotional: "My long-cherished wish for many years has finally seen hope."

Martin said nicely: "I can have what I am today because of your support, the director. Without that impressive circus, I would not have this opportunity."

Benjamin realized Martin's importance to the boss, and he no longer regarded him as a mere actor, and said, "Don't worry, I will tailor a more brilliant play for you this time."

For some reason, Martin suddenly felt chilly.

But it is impossible to give up halfway through the film that I jumped up and down, and I have to finish shooting everything.

Thinking about the script, the leading actor must be outstanding, he gradually came up with some ideas.

Benjamin specially reminded: "You have worked in the gigolo club for so long, you should be very familiar with striptease, right?"

Martin realized why it was chilly, and said, "I'm a bartender."

Benjamin said: "Prepare in advance, let's practice."

Martin sighed secretly, after making such a big turn, he still had to go on the ring stage.

What's the fuss? If you go to Los Angeles in the future, won't you turn around and enter the Sacred Valley?

Martin didn't want to do this, and decided to use his ability to suppress the bottom of the box, and said, "Director, the role of the owner of the Gigolo Club, you wrote an ugly guy."

Benjamin said simply: "There must be green leaves around the safflower, and the role of the boss is the green leaves. With the foil, the audience will feel that the Gigolo Troupe is handsome."

Martin said: "I have a friend who is perfect for this role."

Benjamin knew that Martin was an extra: "The boss has a lot of lines."

Martin was talking about Robert, of course: "He basically has good acting skills, and his lines are okay."

"Okay." Benjamin replied straight away: "When the crew sends out an announcement, let him come to the audition directly. As long as the basic acting skills are okay, I will give him the green light."

This kind of favor that does not cost his own resources, he has no burden to send: "I remember which troupe you are a member of?"

Martin nodded: "Marietta Community Theater." He did not forget to brag a few words: "The most professional team of background artists in Atlanta, and have worked with the company on many late-night plays."

Benjamin said directly: "You are in charge of the contact."

The two chatted about the leading actor again, Martin left and met Andrew in the company lobby.

Andrew was full of joy: "I just heard from Ella that you will also be the production manager of this movie?"

Martin told the truth: "It's just a false job."

Andrew looked around and lowered his voice: "Lynn was dragged down by Adam Smith and was taken away by DEA last week. The boss has decided to fire him."

Martin reacted: "Congratulations, casting director."

Andrew did a lot for Martin at the time, and he could roughly guess that Martin got rid of Adam Smith, and he also benefited from it. He raised his fist specially: "It should be congratulations to us."

Martin bumped his fist with him: "I asked Jerome to contact you."

Andrew said: "No problem, he can call me anytime."

After confirming that there would be no accidents in the project, Martin called the team leader Jerome, then made an appointment with Robert, and handed over the character script given by Benjamin to Robert.

"What do you mean?" Robert looked at the script of the character, and suddenly remembered that this guy and that pervert frequently discussed the back door: "Martin, I'm not interested in men!"

Martin was helpless: "Dude, I'm even less interested in men! I'm the leading actor in this drama. If you're not watching by my side, I'm worried that the leading actor will be snatched away."

Robert defended: "I really did nothing, purely by chance."

"I understand." Martin didn't bother to say: "This role has less than 20 lines. You go back and prepare well. If you screw up the audition, I will send you to Bruce. Old Bu is the one who likes to go through the back door."

The next day, Dave, representing Gray Pictures, negotiated with Sophia and Vincent, and "Zombie Gigolo" was officially approved.
