All-Professional Master of Darkness

Chapter 5 Little Skeleton Upgrade

Following the unexplained spells of the Sinking Demon Wizard, the Sinking Demons that had turned into corpses climbed up from the ground again accompanied by balls of fire.

The black demonic energy that had escaped quickly surged back into their thin bodies. They are nourished by the demonic energy and become vigorous and vigorous. Perhaps even because they died once, they became more aggressive and were not afraid of the sharp bone knives in the hands of skeletons.

Wow, under the fierce blows of six or seven Sinking Demons, a skeleton finally exhausted its last bit of life and turned into a pile of bones again. In less than a second, there was another crash, and another skeleton was smashed into pieces by the ferocious fallen demons.

With only the last skeleton left, Warrod finally woke up from his feverish impulse. His already pale face became increasingly pale, and he turned around and shouted in despair: "Go away, leave me alone."

As if he didn't know anything about it, Lan Wu rushed directly into the circle surrounded by the Sinking Demon with the little skeleton. By this time he was covered in bruises. Although the wounds were not deep, thanks to the small blade in the Sinking Demon's hand, which was not very sharp, both legs were covered with wounds. The blood stained his legs red, looking very scary. If it weren't for the mild healing potion Warrod had given him before, he would have bled to death.

The little skeleton's condition was not much better at this time. This is already the fourth time Lan Wu has summoned a small skeleton using Skeleton Resurrection. Its slender bones are full of pits and gaps caused by blows with sharp and blunt objects. Especially its skull, which was forcibly jumped up by a fallen demon and smashed a small piece of bone with a stick, revealing the empty skull cavity inside.

One person and one skeleton entered the siege, causing a lot of trouble to the Sinking Demon. The upper hand that he finally gained was wiped out by this person and his skeleton. They screamed and besieged the two humans and the two skeletons harder and harder.

"Seize the opportunity to summon the skeleton." Lan Wu thrust his staff into the eye socket of a Sinking Demon. This fallen demon was already seriously injured. After receiving this blow, it screamed and lost its life.

Warrod glanced at Lan Wu gratefully, and immediately cast Skeleton Resurrection, summoning a fresh skeleton before the Sinking Demon wizard resurrected the Sinking Demon.

With the addition of the new skeletons, the battle gradually tilted towards Lan Wu's side. Lan Wu and the three skeletons fiercely resisted the siege of the Sinking Demon. Warrod seized every opportunity and took the lead, turning the body of the Sinking Demon into a new skeleton. Then he picked up a short staff and started a close combat with the Sinking Demon.

Skeletons lost their magic power and fell down, while skeletons gained new magic power and stood up from the corpse of the Sinking Demon. The health, defense, damage, etc. of the three are better than the skeleton and bone knives of the Sinking Demon. They are like the scythe of the god of death, harvesting the life of the Sinking Demon quickly and swiftly.

"Keep yourself safe, I'll kill the Sinking Demon Wizard." Seeing that the battle situation had stabilized, Lan Wu flew up and kicked the Sinking Demon in front of him, and went straight to the Sinking Demon Wizard twenty meters away.

When the Sinking Demon Wizard saw Lan Wu rushing towards this side, he murmured a few times, raised his skull witch staff and waved it. With a bang, a fireball the size of a human head was born out of thin air and shot directly at Lan Wu, who was rushing towards him.

Fireball, another major skill of the Sinking Demon Wizard. However, for all veterans, the threat of the Sunken Demon Wizard's fireball is almost negligible, but the skill of resurrecting the Sunken Demon is even more troublesome for them. Especially an old bird like Lan Wu who suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder.

The flying speed of the fireball is not fast, but it is not slow either. Just like a person throwing a stone from twenty meters away, Lan Wu easily dodged it and continued to move forward with the little skeleton.

The fallen wizard shook his wand again. Another fireball flew out with a bang. Lan Wu flashed through again. Just as he avoided the fireball, he heard a muffled sound behind him. When he looked back, he saw that the little skeleton had run out of fuel and was unable to avoid it, so it was hit by the fireball.

After a hard fight, the little skeleton was seriously injured and could not withstand the fireball fired by the fallen wizard. The fireball exploded, and the small skeleton turned into a pile of broken bones.

Lan Wu held the staff in his backhand and pointed in Warrod's direction. Another brand new skeleton stood up. He saw the newly summoned skeleton from the corner of his eye and couldn't help but be stunned.

This newly summoned little skeleton is exactly the same as the previous one. The same slender bones, short body, and even the bone knife in his hand is missing. The only difference is that the whole body's bones are intact and it has a complete skeleton.

Lan Wu was a little surprised. Whether it is in the game or looking at the skeletons summoned by Warrod, they are exactly the same, and there is no difference. But when he saw the skeleton he summoned, he was a little confused.

"Um...it seems a little complete?"

While thinking about it, Lan Wu avoided the fireball thrown by the Sinking Demon Wizard. There are only thirteen or four meters left from the Sinking Demon Wizard. He exerted his strength again, crossed the distance of three to four meters, raised his hand and pointed at the Sinking Demon Wizard.

Although the Sinking Demon Wizard possesses wisdom that is beyond the reach of the Sinking Demon, he is still a Sinking Demon after all. As soon as it saw Lan Wu raising his staff ten meters away, it immediately panicked and quickly turned around and ran away.

Lan Wu smiled. Without the hindrance of the fireball, his speed was faster. The fallen wizard is extremely old and relies solely on his powerful magic power to rule the tribe. When it comes to escaping, it's not even as good as the little Sunken Demon that just learned to run.

The distance of ten meters is neither short nor long.

After chasing behind the Sinking Demon Wizard, Lan Wu picked up his staff and smashed it into the Sinking Demon Wizard's head. With a bang, the staff as thick as a thumb hit the fallen magician on the head. It screamed in fright, desperately turning left and right, trying its best to get away from this human professional.

Lan Wu was not in a hurry and always stayed behind the Sinking Demon Wizard. Without the resurrection of the Sinking Demon Wizard, those Sinking Demons have been completely suppressed by Warrod's three skeletons.

The little skeleton was lagging far behind, looking very impatient. It nimbly jumped over the corpses of the fallen demons, avoiding the fallen demons that rushed towards them one after another, and quickly caught up with Lan Wu.

When the help arrived, Lan Wu roared, swarmed up with the little skeleton, and stopped the Sinking Demon Wizard. Before he could, he threatened the fallen magician first. The little skeleton had raised only half of the bone knife and struck the Sinking Demon Wizard hard on the back.

Screaming in agony, the Sinking Demon Wizard gave up in pain, threw away his witch staff, and rolled on the ground. The wound was covered in dirt, causing it even more pain. Just like all mages in the game, once they get close, they can only be beaten.

Lan Wu stopped taking action. After all, the staff is not suitable for close combat. He felt helpless as he watched the little skeleton slash at the Sinking Demon Wizard one after another.

The damage of the small skeleton is too low.

After nearly thirty cuts, the poor fallen wizard was finally free. The black demonic energy gradually rose from its corpse and divided into three streams, which were frozen in the air and floated towards Lan Wu and Little Skull.

Warmth flowed through his body, and Lan Wu had a clear understanding. I upgraded myself again. After careful calculation, I have killed more than thirty Sinking Demons and one Sinking Demon Wizard from just now, and the experience gained is indeed enough to level up.

Not long after, the Sinking Demon Wizard was completely decomposed into demonic energy. The mass of black air condensed in mid-air suddenly compressed inward, and with a soft clang, a ring fell to the ground.

Lan Wu felt a little regretful when he saw the ring falling. Compared with jewelry such as rings, it is far less useful than a piece of cloth armor. It is really a big test to move around naked in such a temperature. He stepped forward and picked up the ring.

This ring is simple in style, with a thumb-sized ruby inlaid on it. Unfortunately, it has not been identified yet. It looked like the ring was covered with a layer of dust, making it very inconspicuous.

"It's better than nothing." Lan Wu stuffed the ring into his beach pants pocket and turned to look at Warrod. Unexpectedly, when he saw the little skeleton, he was a little distracted.

The little skeleton has completely changed from before. The slender bones became dense, glowing with a faint white light, and looked very smooth. The biggest change is the weapon in its hand. The bone knife, which had only half of it left, finally regained its full shape. The blade, which is more than one meter long, is streamlined. The blade flashed with a cold light, obviously it was a rare weapon.

"Oh, you've also upgraded." Lan Wu roughly guessed the changes in the little skeleton.

The little skeleton has been upgraded and is obviously much more lively. It kept moving quickly around Lan Wu's body, and his whole body's bones emitted a faint white light, and he seemed to be in a very good mood. The clicking sounds made by the friction of bones during the movement actually had a vague rhythm, as if they were playing a ballad.

Lan Wu thought this little skeleton was very strange. The skeleton summoned by Warrod did not have so many weird features, and always maintained the attitude that a skeleton should have.

At this time, Warrod led three skeletons to end the battle. He was in a pretty good mood. I thought I was unlucky and would die at the hands of a group of fallen demons, but I didn't expect that it was a blessing in disguise that I received such a large amount of demonic energy. Once absorbed, he believed that moving up to another level would no longer be a distant dream. In addition to being excited, he looked at Lan Wu with more sympathy.

It's a pity that the team contract was not reached. Otherwise, he can gain a little more experience and at least be able to advance to another level.

Naturally, Lanwu didn't know that Warrod regretted that he hadn't been able to share so much experience. He is studying this little skeleton he summoned. He moved the little skeleton, pinched its cheekbones, tapped the skull lightly, and then carefully pinched all the bones in its body.

Perhaps it was an illusion, but Lan Wu felt that this little skeleton seemed to be resisting his research. He stopped and held the little skull's head curiously, looking up and down carefully. Soon he realized that this little skeleton was really resisting his research work, and some resistance came from his hands. While he was wondering what was going on, Warrod had already absorbed the huge mass of demonic energy and came over.

"Dear Lan Wu, it's a pity that you missed the opportunity to share the magic energy." Warrod looked at Lan Wu with sympathy in his eyes.

Lan Wu rolled his eyes, took out the ring and waved it in front of Warrod without raising his head, and then asked: "Are there any extra identification scrolls? Lend me two."

After waiting for a long time and not hearing Warrod's response, Lan Wu looked up. Warrod was seen with a dull look on his face, looking at the ring in his hand stupidly. He was a little puzzled, but when he saw Warrod's clean hands, he immediately understood completely.

"It seems that the explosion rate of these professionals is obviously not high." Lan Wu thought thoughtfully.

"Ring, you actually got a ring. God, you must have been favored by the gods." Warrod shouted excitedly, his pale face covered with a blush.

"Maybe." Lan Wu was noncommittal and asked again: "Lend me two identification scrolls."

Hearing that Lan Wu wanted to borrow the identification scroll, Warrod suddenly became nervous and looked away hesitantly: "A scroll costs eighty gold coins. I have no intention of making money from you. If you don't believe me, you can ask Master Akara."
